Technical Seminars at PowerTest 2025

Group CBS’s experts will be covering NFPA changes, the latest developments in circuit breakers, and maintenance for your equipment on panels and in seminars throughout the week.

Don’t miss our founder Finley Ledbetter presenting a workshop on the application and maintenance of low- and medium-voltage switchgear and circuit breakers, including the controls, protection, and ratings. This four-hour workshop will draw from audience experience and a panel of industry experts to discuss maintenance and life extension. You can ask questions about the interchangeability of different generations of equipment, the most recent trends and needs to extend the useful life of this equipment, and more.

With life extension programs, companies can:

  • Upgrade low-voltage circuit breakers and motor controls with vacuum interrupters to increase life in motor-starting applications
  • Retrofit an obsolete low-voltage power circuit breaker with a modern insulated case circuit breaker, which has a higher interrupting capacity and modern solid-state electronics
  • Upgrade a medium-voltage motor control with a new GE MultiLin motor relay
  • Replace low-voltage motor control buckets with our UL-listed replacement products
  • Replace an obsolete medium-voltage breaker and draw-out cell assembly by installing retrofill modules that provide you with a new breaker and cell
  • Upgrade or replace discontinued medium-voltage circuit breakers with vacuum roll-ins
  • Retrofit an obsolete medium-voltage air circuit breaker with a vacuum circuit breaker with the same truck assembly

New Products Shaping the Power Systems Industry

Get a preview of the newest Group CBS products at the New Product Forum. Stop by on Tuesday, March 11 at 5:15 p.m. for this hour-long presentation which will include the LRTS10 micro-ohmmeter from Vacuum Interrupters and a look at our new switchgear line.

The all new LRTS10 micro-ohmmeter enables a single technician to easily conduct contact resistance tests on electrical equipment. The unit features audible and visual alarms to indicate test status, locks results onscreen until the next test, and includes auto current range to simplify resistance measurement without manual adjustments.

We’ll also discuss our new switchgear offerings including 600 V rated secondary bus enclosures, switchboards, panelboards, and medium-voltage switchgear. Whether you need a bus duct designed, manufactured, and tested to ANSI standards; UL891 listed switchboards; custom-engineered panelboards; or switchgear rated up to 38 kV, we have the custom engineered power distribution equipment for your facility.

Get a Taste of Miami at PowerTest!
